CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
This course is designed for the rescuer with a duty to respond (such as lifeguards, CNA’s, RN’s, etc.), or anyone with a desire to learn advanced CPR knowledge. Course content covers how to recognize and respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants, and children, along with two-person CPR, the use of body substance isolation precautions to prevent disease transmission, use of resuscitation bag-valve masks, along with the use of an AED for a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.
Emergency Response
This is a comprehensive course designed for training first responders. The course follows the 1995 US DOT First Responder National Standard Curriculum and meets ECC Guidelines.
First Aid and CPR for the Community
This comprehensive course includes: Adult, Child and Infant CPR, rescue breathing, choking rescue, and first aid skills including treatment of burns, fractures, sprains, seizures, bleeding control, sudden illness, injuries, poisoning, heat and cold emergencies.
Workplace Training-Standard First Aid with or without AED
This course provides individuals in the workplace the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide basic care including adult CPR, rescue breathing, choking, injuries, sudden illness, and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for victims of sudden cardiac arrest until advanced medical personnel arrives.
Baby Sitter's Training
The purpose of the Babysitter’s Training course is to provide youth ages 11-15, with the information and skills necessary to provide safe responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians. The American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training program is a fun, interactive course that will teach your child to; supervise children and infants, be a good leader and role model, make good decisions-solve problems-and stay safe, handle emergencies such as injuries-illness-and household accidents, and also learn business skills such as writing a resume and interviewing for a job.
First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Course
You will learn to teach the newest American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) courses. This program features a modular design to allow customization, it has been revised to meet the latest CPR guidelines, and is designed to meet the specific needs of workplaces, including OSHA requirements. Our instructor course includes precourse testing of first aid/CPR skills and knowledge, practice teaching, and written tests.
Prerequisite: You must be at least 17 years of age. First Aid/CPR/AED certification is strongly recommended. The course will begin with a skills test and written test, candidates must demonstrate mastery of Adult/Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Skills. Attendance at all class sessions is required.
